Family Storytelling Sessions

Welcome to a relaxed and genuine family photography session! My style is a blend of documentary (you doing your thing) and portrait (me directing things a bit) to tell the story of the connections and feelings in your ordinary, everyday family moments. I focus most on capturing your natural interactions together while adding in a few casual family portraits too. I document the laughter and smiles, the mess and chaos, small details and big details, and occasionally a meltdown or two!

We will spend about 1.5 - 2 hours creating authentic images of your family in the comfort of your own home. Images of your natural interactions as you do the things you love to do together. Do you love to play board games with your kids? Build snowmen with your little ones? Gather by the fire and eat marshmallows? Play in the backyard? Build blanket forts? Spend a quiet Sunday afternoon around the house... whatever it is, it is beautiful and worth documenting.

Sessions are shot at home... inside the home, outside in the yard, on the deck, in the playhouse, in the garden... anywhere around home with bright natural light.

You will get approximately 40-50 high resolution digital images on a USB with print release  + a short term private online gallery for viewing.

 Newborn Storytelling Sessions

The early days of a new baby are so short and so sweet. I know; I've had two! Sometimes it feels like forever (hello long nights!), yet somehow it manages to fly by in a heartbeat. From the smallness of baby in daddy's arms to the wilder ways of a toddler in contrast to the new baby, there is so much to document and treasure. Let's capture the small things and the big things and the realness of who you are as family right now. In the comfort of your home, on baby's schedule, in your comfiest clothes, with those you love, doing what you love - being a family.

We will spend about 1.5 - 2 hours documenting your newly grown family. Creating images of your natural interactions - the smiles the laughter, the mess and the wonder. All is welcome!

Motherhood Storytelling Sessions

"The tasks of motherhood often feel small and unnoticed, but each little moment we spend caring for and nurturing our children weaves together to become a beautiful work of art."

~ Rebecca Cooper; Simple as That blog

What if you could see your life from a new perspective? If you could see the significance in the seemingly meaningless? If you could see the devotion within the routine? If you could see the art within the mess? How would that change how you see yourself and the role you were gifted in your children's lives? You would see that everything you do does mean something. That every hug and kiss, every tickle and cuddle, each time you find another shred of patience matters. And together it all builds the story of your life - the art of your life. Your life as a mom.

This session is mainly a documentary session. We will spend about 2 - 3 hours documenting everything that is motherhood. Creating images of your candid and unscripted interactions with your children. Ones that will show you the art in your everyday.

You will receive 75+ high resolution digital images on a USB with print release + a short term private online gallery for viewing.

Introductory offer ~ $400

How to prepare...

The beauty of this style of photography is that you can prepare as much or as little as you like! You already have the right clothes in your closet - so wear what you feel good in. The purpose of this is to capture and remember the amazingness of your everyday life. To create a family memoir of a moment of time in your life, of what you want to remember years from now.

Session Times

Sessions are done during the brightest daylight hours, which depends on the seasons. For winter, we will shoot between 10am and 2pm for the best possible natural light.
